Tesla Pro Tip: Trick Your Trunk into Thinking it’s Closed

As Tesla owners, many of us have experienced the disappointment of not being able to shut the trunk all the way due to the size of items we are transporting. This week’s Tesla pro tip from EVSpeedy.com will help you get around this problem.

When you are transporting items that are too large to shut the trunk, you can use a bungee cord to tie the trunk closed, and it will appear to the Car as if the trunk is shut. All you have to do is tie a knot in the bungee cord and push the cord through the latch of the trunk, and then hook it onto the connector on the bottom part of the trunk. This will trick the Car into thinking that the trunk is closed and locked.

Once you reach your destination, you can simply click the “open trunk” button to release the bungee cord, and you can unload your items. This trick will save you from the frustration of the Car’s beeping alerting you that the trunk is not closed.

If you are transporting larger items, you can also use the Tesla’s rear-view cameras to make sure that you are driving safely with the trunk open. This will help you to make sure that you have a clear view of the road, and that your items are not obstructing your vision.

Tesla owners know that the company’s vehicles offer great trunk and frunk space, but sometimes it just isn’t enough. With the simple trick outlined above, you can keep the trunk open while you drive, and the Car will think that the trunk is closed.

This is just one of the many Tesla pro tips available at EVSpeedy.com. With their help, you can make sure that you are taking full advantage of your Tesla’s features, and that you are driving safely no matter how large your cargo.
